Chapter Three
The Abomination of Desolation
All things begin at the spiritual level and manifest outwardly to the physical realm. How can I say this? It is the Biblical model from the very first verse and/or event to occur in the universe. So I want to bring out the reason that we are going to see physical reasons a human becomes a beast. IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS A SPIRITUAL REASON. It’s called the “Abomination of Desolation” or the “Abomination That Makes Desolate.”
This is going to be a very intense and lengthy chapter but I ask you to stay with me. At the end of this chapter, you can find a list of all the verses that talk about worship of the beast and/or the Abomination of Desolation.
I want to pose a quick question to lead us into some basic understanding of some of what I will share here: Why are so many loving, well meaning Christians deceived?
2 Thessalonians 2 (KJV 1900)
2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, 17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
These things shall precede the Day of the Lord: The Great Apostasy, or worship of the Beast as described in verse 4. Verses 3 and 4 are interrelated and are like two sides of a scroll.
So, the question above, let’s discuss it. Since we know that tares are sown in among the Lord’s field, (His people) and the tares are of another spirit, which is the enemy of God we can deduce that they will have appetites for things which emanate from that wicked spirit of imitation.
Satan is the great deceiver and if it were possible can fool the very elect. Matthew 24:24 says, For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. The worship of the beast will arise out of the modern Christian church and mainly the Charismatic movement. The Anti-Christ or man of perdition as well…
How can I say that? –Simply because they are the only ones anticipating miracles and signs and wonders. I am too! But we need to make sure that things are being done by the Holy Spirit moving through individuals and not by “angels” fallen ones, operating through people. Additionally, people who stay in apostate houses of “worship” become apostate.
He, the anti-Christ, is going to appear to be very, very similar to the Holy Spirit when using a person to perform false signs and lying wonders and if a person who is of the elect is deceived, I believe they will come to the truth –in time.
2 Corinthians 11:12-15 (KJV)
12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
The enemy is an angel of light and transforms his ministers into ministers of light as though they were ministers of righteousness. They steal the glory designated only for God by imitating His Spirit while operating in the Enemy’s spirit. Y’shua will go to them and tell them that they are in error and if they stop and repent, then maybe He won’t remove His Holy Spirit from them. IF NOT, they will get what they want (power from another spirit other than the Holy Spirit), and they will push the Ruach Kodesh from them and the evil spirit they love to operate in will take His place…Now the person has become the twice dead as spoken of in Jude.
See, they were first dead and then became quickened by having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, then they kicked out the Holy Spirit and they are now desolate. This is the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Daniel, Messiah Y’shua, and is found in the Book of The Revelation. (wait for it, I will speak about Daniel’s vision.)
The other example of a minister of Satan is a person who never had the Holy Spirit indwelling and is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They are operating in the deceiver spirit also and are like the ones that Messiah said He would one day tell them:
Matthew 7:21–23 (KJV 1900)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Here is another verse that shows what the falling away is: I Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Those that give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils…that is how they fall away. But the great falling away that needs to happen before the return of Messiah is shown to us in 2 Thessalonians.
Now is a good time to go back and review 2 Thessalonians cited above. There is an enormous amount of revelatory truth there.

When did Messiah tell them this? Let’s look at Matthew 24:24.
Matthew 24:15–28 (KJV 1900)
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Ministry of the tares, beasts, and those headed to destruction
1. Turn to Genesis 11:2 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for
2. stone, and slime had they for mortar. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
3. They built a city and a tower to reach God in heaven…and WHY? To make a name for themselves among the people.
4. This is the Babylon foundation because Shinar is the capital of Babylon. This mindset is Mystery Babylon…(but that is a lengthy teaching for another time).
5. Selfish ambition is the root of every evil work. (James 3:16)
6. There are 5 false voices in the congregation of God’s people. (Jeremiah 27:9)
The five false voices in the congregation:
Verse 9 says, , 9Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: 10For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
We see from this that there are 5 other voices within the congregations of God’s people—other than the true voice of the true prophetic voice…
All of the false voices are connected to those hearing seducing spirits who are working against the saints to draw them away from God. These men/women are usually still operating with their wounds and have not had inner healing. They also have major sin in their life, such as: a faulty foundation. They are not established in the LORD because their foundation is in Babylon. Often, they are of Baal. They suffer from wrong motives, and often do all the right things for all the wrong reasons. They are in pride, looking for a platform in which to become famous among people. Since their foundation is in Babylon, they too desire to build a tower to reach God, but not to be with the glorious King of the Universe, but to make a name for themselves among the people. (See Genesis chapter eleven.)
We have the false prophet, who tells leadership what they want to hear.
We have the diviners who provide answers that are derived from a source other than that of the LORD for things like a false peace that is gained thru “yoga” for instance. They look for helping others in things like acupuncture for healing. These practices cannot be “Christianized”.
There are the dreamers who are intoxicated by “spirits” and have dreams that they claim to be from God and are not, but they give direction to leadership and also to the people.
As for the enchanters, they bring forth false teachings that lead people away from the truth of God’s Word. The teachings are closely related to truth because there are some truths mingled into them.
The sorcerers among us are those who virtually conjure up spirits. There is a ministry leader who laid on the grave of a famous healer until he received the man’s spirit…this is sorcery!!! Another musician, (who calls himself a worship leader and sells extraordinary amounts of CD’s per year), also laid on a grave to receive the man’s anointing…sorcerer!!!
In verse 14 of II Chronicles 36 noted above, we see that the chief of the priests and the people polluted the hallowed house of the LORD. This is when they Christianize forms of worship to evil gods such as Karate, (and all of the martial arts), yoga, pilates and other forms of discipline offered to evil gods, and acupuncture which is a personal physical offering to an evil god! Also lumped in the mix are things like, co-habitation with members of the opposite sex, and fornication, (which is oral or anal sex). (I know, “everybody does it”, so it must be OK. But it is NOT OK, these are evil practices in the eyes of the LORD.) [1]
Verses 15 and 16 show us that the LORD in His mercy and love for His people sent messengers, (like me in this hour), to warn the people of their disobedience and they mocked them and misused them inciting the wrath of God until THERE WAS NO REMEDY…
If we want to operate in truth, we must admit that the voices in the current congregational climate are of the false variety for the most part, and God’s people seem to scarf all of it down without batting a lash. Baal prophets spew their doctrines of demons over the television airwaves and they go unchallenged by mainstream recognized leadership. But they too live like rock stars and it seems to be about the hour where the tables of the money changers are to be turned over…
So, where is the good news? The great thing about serving such a perfect God is that He has a plan of restoration and if a person is a law abiding citizen of His Kingdom, then they are under the protection of the King!
