SHAVUOT THE FEAST OF PENTECOST
Shavuot is fulfilled by Messiah in that it was the day that we as mankind were given the ability to have the INDWELLING OF THE RUACH KODESH AGAIN! Restoring us back to the condition of Adam. There will be further wonderful events of fulfillment of this Feast. The Law is now written on our hearts and our stony hearts have been made flesh because the Messiah became flesh and dwelt “among us”…(IN US!!!)
This is the one awesome thing we can show to the Hebrews (the natural branches) which would stir them to jealousy. THIS IS IT! They are waiting desperately for the Third Temple to be built and many have failed to realize that WE AS SPIRIT FILLED BELIEVERS ARE THE THIRD TEMPLE NOT MADE WITH HANDS !!! (Fulfilling the promises to the prophets.)
Some quick facts about the Feast of Shavuot
A. Also called the Feast of the First Fruits of the Wheat Harvest
B. Also called the Feast of Weeks
1. The period between Passover and Shavuot became known as counting of the omer.
C. Many parallels between the first Shavuot and the Day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2.
1. The day Moses received the tablets of the Law from the hand of YaHoVaH 3,000 souls were slain due to disobedience and worship of the golden calf.
a. On the Day of Pentecost 3,000 souls were added to the Kingdom by receiving Ruach HaKodesh or aka -the Holy Spirit baptism of fire.
2. The mountain trembled when Moses took the Law
a. the building where they were assembled was shaking
3. Noisy thundering on the mount-
a. mighty rushing wind
4. God descended in smoke and fire
a. Tongues of fire come upon the disciples
5. God’s voice was as a trumpet
a. Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha Kodesh) spoke through men in other tongues.
6. Torah given in Covenant relationship
a. The New and Everlasting Covenant is fulfilled and made manifest. (There may be further fulfillments as I ssaid before). As the Blood of Y’shua was applied to the Mercy Seat in Heaven the curtain in the heart of mankind was rent and the indwelling of Ruach Ha Kodesh, (the Holy Spirit) was enabled for the first time since Adam. THIS IS THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD THAT Y’SHUA PREACHED!!
